Welcome to The Rover

The Rover began as my outlet to explore and share my investment journey. Skeptical of entrusting my hard-earned money to Wall Street, I chose to manage my own portfolio — and document every decision along the way.

I have an economics degree but no formal finance background. What I have instead is a wealth of global travels, conversations with people from every corner of the planet, a deep love of history, and a relentless refusal to accept the story I am being handed. I read constantly — books, articles, and even a few obscure reports. The best edges in investing and in life come from connecting ideas that nobody else thought to put in the same room. That combination shapes everything I write.

The Rover is for busy professionals looking to see the investing world through a different lens. Please consider becoming a paid subscriber to receive monthly letters.

The Rover Experience

12 letters for $60 per year or $10 monthly. $60/year is the cheapest The Rover will ever be.

Each month I write a letter divided into three sections. These are not theories, but what I am actually doing in my own life.

Current Events — I open every newsletter with something that happened in the world recently or a place I have experienced firsthand. The most interesting investment stories are rarely found in earnings reports. They are found in history, in travel, in the details most people walk right past. Every month something happens in the world that connects directly to where your money should be.

The Most Interesting Thing I Read This Month — I scour publicly available information and give you a perspective that lets you see the world through a different lens than the one the mainstream media hands you. The dots are always there. Most people just never connect them.

Investments — What I am doing with my own money. How I am thinking about what comes next. The wins, the losses, and the lessons learned along the way. No agenda. No sponsored positions. Just honest transparency.

Becoming a paid subscriber will connect the dots between history, macro, and your money before the mainstream media figures out they're connected.
